REMEDIATION AND RESTORATION

Our technology is environmentally friendly. We don’t cause new problems while solving the existing problems.

AquaFiber has spent years developing a system that can restore polluted water bodies and make the water suitable for irrigation, swimming and fishing.

Unique among remediation technologies, AquaFiber leaves no in-situ byproduct. There are no unwanted chemicals remaining in the water column and no vegetation. Depending on the application of our technology, the water can actually have more oxygen thereby helping to restore the entire water column and the water body to a natural and healthy balance.

This advanced, tested and proven biotechnology is capable of producing potable and reuse quality water, using less land and monies than traditional approaches. The technology is cost effective—often much less the cost of other systems and with better results. As important, our system has wide-ranging applications.

Compared to wetlands, which can reduce phosphorus at rates of 1 to 18 pounds per acre per year, periphyton algae technologies have reduced phosphorus at rates of 400, 1,700 and 4,000 pounds per acre per year—making them more efficient and predictable than most managed wetlands.

Our process removes a host of metals, too. Natural and man-made toxic compounds, such as microcystins, cylindrospermopsis, and others have also been detoxified and removed.

Multiple independent laboratory analyses have demonstrated that our patented technology is capable of producing potable quality water from Lake Apopka. Using the patented filtration technology creates a cycle of water quality improvement.

Our process actually adds oxygen to the water column, cleaning and restoring the entire water body.

Better still, our process work comparatively fast and requires no invasive processes to maintain water quality (like dredging or invasive chemical application.)
