For Investors

AquaFiber is creating new and innovative technologies that benefit humans, our environment and our economy. We have positioned AquaFiber Technologies Corporation with a bold, new approach to water remediation that delivers clean water. Our business model is simple:  1. Provide the best available scientific and technological innovations to address water remediation; 2. Develop new technologies that can convert the biomass generated from AquaFiber’s patented algal harvesting processes into useful products that benefit society; and 3. Don’t talk about it… do it.

With that “can do” attitude, AquaFiber began treating the waters of Lake Jesup in April 2009 under a “performance based” contract in partnership with SJRWMD and in close association with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.  To our knowledge, this “pay for performance” type of a contract had never been successfully attempted for water remediation in Florida.

Cost Effective

AquaFiber’s technology solutions are extremely cost-effective and can be custom-tailored to specific water management needs and water treatment challenges. Our technologies require significantly less capital and operational costs than other approaches.

The key to understanding the real value of water remediation is to look at all of the costs associated with a system: capital, operations & maintenance, land, ecosystem services and even the cost to treat the system years into the future. It's common to overlook the fact that there is an economic and human value to ecosystem services and products that must be considered in long-term water resource planning.

Clean water is essential to human health and quality of life. In 2008, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimated that “almost one-tenth of the global disease burden could be prevented by improving water supply, sanitation, hygiene and management of water resources.”  WHO (2008; 2004) estimated health care savings of US $7 billion per year for health agencies and US $340 million per year for individuals from investments in clean water and improved sanitation.  An investment in clean water is an investment in a healthy, prosperous and sustainable future.
